COX, Judge:

Appellant was tried by general court-martial composed of a military judge alone on December 9-10, 1983, at Royal Air Force Alconbury, England. Contrary to his pleas, he was found guilty of rape, in violation of Article 120, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. § 920. He was sentenced to a dishonorable discharge, 11 months’ confinement, total forfeitures, and reduction to E-l. The convening authority reduced the dishonorable discharge to a bad-conduct discharge and then suspended the discharge but otherwise approved the adjudged sentence. The Court of…
