The plaintiffs brought this action to restrain the defendant, who is the collector of Turlock irrigation district, from selling certain lands belonging to them, in satisfaction of a delinquent assessment *409levied upon the real property in the district for the purpose of paying the interest on the outstanding bonds of said district for the year 1893. It is not alleged that any of the steps required by the statute for making the levy of the assessment were omitted, but the complaint is based upon the ground that the assessment was unauthorized by reason of the invalidity of the bonds, for paying…
