THE COURT.

This is an application for a writ of mandate commanding the respondent, clerk of the county of Los Angeles, to examine and from the great register ascertain whether or not the original and supplemental petitions filed by petitioners herein invoking the referendum, are signed by the requisite number of electors, and, if so found sufficient, to submit the same to the board of supervisors.
