This is an appeal from a judgment of the superior court discharging a preliminary writ of mandamus which was issued to require the Real Estate Commissioner of California to show cause why he should not unconditionally renew the broker’s license.

Upon petitioner’s application for renewal of his license, the commissioner gave written notice of a hearing on the question of the broker’s asserted “dishonest dealing” and lack of good faith in procuring a personal option to buy a farm belonging to his former clients, Mr. and Mrs. King, for $8,500 without disclosing the fact that he already had a…
