These cross appeals involve challenges to variances and conditional use permits granted by the board of appeal of Boston (board) to Boston University (university) for its property on Babbitt Street and Cummington Street. In the first action, the trial judge annulled the board’s decision pertaining to the Babbitt Street property which is abutted on the west by the plaintiff’s land.
