The defendant town of Enfield appeals from the decision of the workers’ compensation review board (board) reversing in part and affirming in part the decision of the workers’ compensation commissioner (commissioner). The plaintiff, Salvatore Rinaldi, cross appeals from the same decision. On appeal, the defendant claims that the board improperly failed to include *508the plaintiffs retirement pension and social security benefits in its General Statutes § 31-308a benefits calculation.
