Plaintiff, G. P. Enterprises, Inc., appeals as of right from a circuit court order granting defendant Jackson National Life Insurance Company (jnl) summary disposition pursuant to MCR 2.116(C)(10). We affirm.
*559On February 26, 1988, George Guffrey applied to jnl for "key man” life insurance in the amount of $137,500. The application was made through defendant Clifford G. Adams, an independent insurance agent authorized to sell insurance issued by jnl. Plaintiff was identified as the beneficiary and owner of the proposed "key man” insurance policy.
