This was an action by plaintiffs to recover damages for the wrongful death of their nineteen-year-old son, and from a judgment in their favor the defendant city appeals.

Briefly stated, the petition charged the city owned and operated its electric light and distribution system and had a line of poles and wires along the west side of a north-and-south alley in block 26; and that plaintiffs lived in a barn near the north end of the block and on the west ends of the lots east of the alley; that on July 19, 1937, the city had in effect ordinance…
