On January 2, 1928, a petition was presented to the White County Court asking that the boundary lines of Levee District No. 1 he changed and that certain territory described in the petition he added to the district “for the purpose of constructing- and maintaining a levee for the protection” of the lands described in the petition and all the lands which had already been included in Little Red River District No. 1.
