MEMORANDUM OF DECISION

This is an action by a building contractor to foreclose a mechanic's lien on a modular home that the homeowners claim the plaintiff assembled defectively and unsafely. What began with high hopes on both sides — the plaintiff seeking a modest profit on a business transaction, the defendants aspiring to their "day of dreams come true"1 — quickly turned sour when the plaintiff began assembling the modular home at the defendants' property.
