MEMORANDUM OF DECISION AND ORDER GRANTING DEFENDANT’S MOTION FOR SUMMARY JUDGMENT

I. INTRODUCTION

The Court now considers Defendant’s Motion for Summary Judgment, filed on December 16, 1988. Defendant American Trawler Company, Inc. brings this motion for summary judgment pursuant to Rule 56 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, on the basis that Plaintiff Barbara Butler has failed to bring her claim within the period prescribed by the statute of limitations imposed upon maritime torts under 46 U.S.C.App. § 763a. 1 For the reasons set out herein, this Court hereby…
