This is a workmen’s compensation case in which the claimant seeks to recover compensation for the death of her husband who died from a gunshot wound inflicted by a shot from a rifle. The referee found that the discharge from the rifle prematurely was unexpected by the deceased; that the deceased had no intention of taking his own life; that his death was the result of an injury by accident sustained while in the regular course of his employment with the defendant; and made an award to the claimant.
