OPINION OF THE COURT

McKEE, Circuit Judge.

We are asked to decide whether the District Court abused its discretion by allowing the prosecution to introduce “prior bad acts” evidence during Michael Morley’s trial on charges of criminal conspiracy, bank fraud, mail fraud and wire fraud. Those charges arose from Morley’s attestation to a forged signature on a fake will. The evidence in question pertained to an incident that occurred 14 months prior to the events charged in the indictment when Morley asked his parents (both of whom were notaries) to notarize signatures on bonds that had been signed…
