Two actions for negligence, consolidated for trial, arising out of an automobile collision on June 11, 1943, in Redwood county. The trial resulted in a verdict of $40,000 for plaintiff Jacquelyn Eichten, a minor, who was three months old at the time of the accident, and a verdict of $2,500 for her father, plaintiff Vernon L. Eichten. This is an appeal from an order in each case denying defendants’ motion for judgment notwithstanding the verdict or a new trial.
