The accused stands convicted by a general court-martial of the wrongful possession of heroin, a habit-forming drug, and breaking restriction, both in violation of Article 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 50 USC § 728. He was sentenced to dishonorable discharge, total forfeitures, and confinement for five years. Intermediate reviewing authorities have affirmed the findings and sentence, and we granted the petition for review to determine two questions.
