The plaintiffs brought this action for the purpose of collecting treble the amount of alleged usurious interest, bonus or penalties claimed to have been collected from them by the defendant in violation of the Usury Law (Stats. 1919, Ixxxiii). The facts are undisputed and are as follows: On February 1, 1929, the defendant made a loan to the plaintiffs, taking a note for $100,000' secured by a trust deed upon certain real property.
