The Southern Central Railroad Company was incorporated in the year 1865 under and pursuant to the provisions of the General Railroad Law, being chapter 140 of the Laws of 1850, for the purpose of constructing and operating a railroad from Sayre, in the State of Pennsylvania, to North Fair Plaven, in the State of New York.
