BYE, Circuit Judge.

The government appeals the district court’s order granting Monica Ann White’s 28 U.S.C. § 2255 petition. We reverse.

On January 14, 1998, White was indicted on charges of conspiracy to distribute cocaine base, possession with intent to distribute cocaine base, and distribution of cocaine base. The case was tried and a jury returned verdicts of guilty on all counts. The district court imposed a mandatory life sentence after determining White had two prior felony convictions and the charges involved more than fifty grams of cocaine base.
