John A. Stevenson (plaintiff) brought a declaratory judgment action against International Telephone and Telegraph Corp. (ITT) and its wholly owned subsidiary ITT Harper, Inc. Plaintiff sought compensatory and punitive damages in connection with termination of his employment by ITT Harper.
