Parraguirre, J.:
In this appeal, we consider whether the district court properly recognized a North Carolina divorce decree and which state’s law should be applied in analyzing that decree. We also consider whether a retroactive award of child support may be awarded when the North Carolina decree made no provision for support. We conclude that the North Carolina divorce decree is entitled to full faith and credit and that North Carolina law controls analysis of the decree.
