This matter is before the Court on defendants’ motion for partial summary judgment. The motion will be granted.
FACTS
This is an action for defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress 1 by the former St. Paul fire chief against the Minneapolis Star Tribune and two of its reporters arising out of two articles published in October 1989 concerning the role of the fire chief and the St. Paul Fire Department in investigating arson cases in St. Paul, and one article published in December 1989 concerning former St. Paul Mayor George…
