VALLÉE, J.

Appeal by defendants from a judgment which decreed that plaintiffs are entitled to a peremptory writ of mandate commanding defendants to terminate the proceedings for the annexation to the city of Long Beach of territory described as “Increment 110” and a special election set therefor on August 20, 1953. The judgment also decreed that the attempted proceedings for the annexation of the territory and every purported resolution and ordinance pertaining thereto are void and of no effect.
