Leslie Hall; who had previously been appointed the managing conservator of her ten-year-old granddaughter, Heather Carol,1 brought an action to terminate the parental rights of the child’s parents, Josh Carol (Leslie’s son) and his wife, Lisa Carol, as a predicate to Hall’s ádoption of the child.
