Plaintiff sued to recover damages for personal injuries sustained by her in falling while walking down a stairway leading from the first floor to the basement floor in defendant’s department store. Seventeen steps, seven feet wide, extended downward to the northerly side of a platform, which was about seven feet square. From all sides of the platform, excepting the northerly side, there were stairways, with four risers, descending to .the basement floor.
