The plaintiff brought this action to recover damages for the destruction by fire of a tobacco warehouse building and equipment in Henderson, North Carolina, of which he was in large part owner, allegedly caused by the negligence of the defendant in its manner and method of supplying electric current to the warehouse and defects in its equipment and devices used in passing the current to the point of delivery and its failure to use reasonable precautions in connection with the fire.
