The parties hereto are husband and wife, both residing in Sioux City, Iowa. The defendant was 73 years of age and the plaintiff 66 at the time of the trial. They lived together as husband and wife for a great number of years.

Defendant’s father was a pioneer resident of Sioux City and died in 1902 survived by his widow, who died a few years later, and five children: Leslie T. Richardson, the defendant herein, Alice O. Richardson, Gratia R. Catón, Mrs. Manley, and Mrs. Gertrude Patterson. His father’s estate had never been divided and at the time of the trial was worth over a half a million…
