A widow, whose petition for a writ of mandamus to require the Board of Fire Commissioners of Baltimore City (Board) to pay her pension benefits for the death of her husband was dismissed, appeals.
Peter H. Ipes, the appellant’s husband, was employed as an engineer by the Fire Department of Baltimore City for some years. On June 7, 1949, after becoming ill at his place of employment, he was admitted to a hospital, where he died two days later.
