Appellant was tried by members at a general court-martial. In accordance with his pleas, he was convicted of three specifications of writing bad checks with the intent to defraud in violation of Article 123a, Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), 10 U.S.C. § 923a (2000). Contrary to his pleas, he was convicted of unauthorized absence and larceny1 in violation of Articles 86 and 121, UCMJ, 10 U.S.C. §§ 886, 921 (2000), respectively.
