In this controversy between representatives of the International Ladies’ Garment Workers Union, a voluntary unincorporated association, and the defendants, engaged in the manufacturing of ladies’ coats and suits, and doing business as copartners under the firm name of Evelyn Coats, and also “Vogel Bros.” an award was made by an arbiter, officially designated in a written agreement between the International Ladies’ Garment Workers Union, and the Los Angeles Coat and Manufacturing Association, as the “Impartial Chairman”.
