This was an action in the City Court to recover damages for personal injuries claimed to have been the result of defendant’s negligence. The case having been submitted to the jury, after deliberation they returned and reported to the court that they had found á verdict in favor of the plaintiff for the sum of fifty dollars. Counsel for the .plaintiff moved to set the verdict aside. The court said: “ I will not receive that verdict in this case.
