The purpose of this action was to recover the amount of a debt alleged to be due to the plaintiff from the Roclcaway Beach Improvement Company (limited), a corporation organized pursuant to the general act providing for the organization and regulation of certain business corporations. (Laws 1815, chap. 611.)
