In an action, inter alia, to recover damages for medical malpractice, the defendants appeal from an order of the Supreme Court, Nassau County (Robbins, J.), dated June 28, 2006, which granted that branch of the plaintiff’s motion which was for leave to serve a supplemental summons and amended complaint *641adding the defendants Hank Ross and Ross Orthopedic Group, EC., as additional defendants.
