ORDER
DEVINE, Chief Judge.
In this civil rights action, 42 U.S.C. § 1983, plaintiff Barry LeBarron alleges *39that the Haverhill Cooperative School District (“Haverhill”) refused to renew his teaching contract in retaliation for his activities with the teacher’s union. LeBarron asserts that Haverhill’s actions violated his First Amendment rights to free speech and association. Jurisdiction is founded on 28 U.S.C. § 1343.
