The plaintiff, the Price Administrator of the Office of Price Administration, seeks by this action to recover $6,799,101.57 from numerous defendants as treble damages pursuant to the provisions of Section 205(e) of the Emergency Price Control Act of 1942, 50 U.S.C.A.Appendix § 925(e), for the sale of 51,694 barrels of Bourbon whiskey at prices in excess of the maximum price established therefor under the Act.
