OPINION
GILDEA, Chief Justice.
This case comes to us on appeal from the denial of Rene Julian McKenzie’s petition for postconviction relief. McKenzie filed a petition for postconviction relief based on two third-party affidavits, alleging that a witness had recanted his trial testimony. The postconviction court granted an evidentiary hearing to determine the credibility of the alleged recantation.
