Appeal from a judgment of the Supreme Court (Dier, J.) ordering, inter alia, equitable distribution of the parties’ marital property, entered July 15, 1994 in Warren County, upon a decision of the court.

The parties were married in 1964 and have three children, the youngest of which is 20 years old and attending college. Both parties are 50 years old and in excellent health; throughout the 27-year duration of the marriage, defendant has worked full time to support the family. Currently, defendant holds 72% of the shares in two businesses — Garvey Volkswagen, Inc. (hereinafter the dealership)…
