Here we are called upon again to determine whether the procedure followed by a trial court at sentencing violated a defendant’s rights to his prejudice.

The facts of this case can be stated succinctly. The appellant was convicted in a non-jury trial in the Criminal Court *649of Baltimore of a sexual offense in the first degree.
