The trial court awarded a money judgment against the defendant and the defendant has appealed and has brought up a bill of exceptions.

An understanding of the points made requires that we go back to the year 1912 to commence. In that year R. B. Han-ford, W. S. Tevis, and the Hanford Investment Company were each engaged in the business of dealing in securities. The Hanford Investment Company had three directors, the two individuals just named, and Miss O’Connell.
