In this marriage dissolution action, the plaintiff, Dean Van Nest, Jr., appeals from the judgment of the trial court holding him in contempt and modifying the findings and orders of the original judgment of dissolution. The plaintiff claims that the court (1) improperly failed to order a mistrial or rehearing of the issues based on his allegations of ineffective assistance of counsel, (2) made improper findings regarding his obligation to maintain life insurance for the benefit of the defendant and their children, and (3) made improper evidentiary rulings regarding his job…
