Appellees, Joe D. Giddens and wife, Ethel Giddens, secured a loan of $13,000 from appellant, Deming Investment Company, a corporation incorporated under the laws of the state of Kansas and legally doing business in this state. This loan was secured on February 16, 1921, and is evidenced by a note of that date executed by appellees to appellant in the sum of $12,000, with interest at the rate of 6 per cent. per annum payable annually on January 1st of each year until the maturity of the note on January 1, 1931, as evidenced by the coupon notes.
