The first issue for consideration is — Does the complaint state facts sufficient to constitute a cause of action ?

When a complaint is challenged by demurrer as to its sufficiency the general rule is that it should be liberally construed and upheld if it expressly or by reasonable inference states any cause of action. Secs. 263.07 and 263.27, Stats. Gregory III v. Madison Mobile Homes Park (1964), 24 Wis. (2d) 275, 128 N. W. (2d) 462; Rogers v. Oconomowoc (1962), 16 Wis. (2d) 621, 115 N. W. (2d) 635.
