Plaintiff Waldimir Adalberto Cruz Romero brought suit on September 26, 2011, against ITW Food Equipment Group, Inc. Following a five-day trial, the jury returned a verdict in favor of plaintiff for $2,977,997.00 in damages. Intending to file an appeal, defendant filed a motion to stay execution of the judgment on June 19, 2015, and requested approval of a su-persedeas bond in the amount of $3,000,000.00 to cover the damages, costs, and post-judgment interest.
