Remarkable as it may seem to those who must make ends meet and worry about the next mortgage payment and the price of widgets, there are actually people who neglect to cash cashier’s checks. Others leave savings and checking accounts dormant at the bank. What happens to such funds when they are not claimed by their rightful owners?
