For several years prior to 15 March, 1923, tbe corporate limits of tbe city of Greensboro formed a square, tbe center of which was tbe center of tbe intersection of Elm and Market streets, tbe sides being each two miles in length, cutting at right angles imaginary lines drawn north, south, east, and west from tbe center, and enclosing an area of four square miles.
