MEMORANDUM AND ORDER

LEVY, United States Magistrate Judge:

By order dated December 21, 1995, the undersigned held that defendant NYNEX is required to compensate plaintiffs expert, Dr. Sirota, for any depositions it takes of him for the remainder of this case. Dr. Sirota seeks $250 per hour in compensation for the time he is to spend being deposed by defendant’s counsel. Defendant objects to that fee, arguing that $150 per hour would be more reasonable, since that is the regular fee Dr. Sirota charges his patients.1
