MYERS, Associate Judge:

Janice Y. Stevens, hereinafter referred to as appellant, recovered judgments totaling $30,000 in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia for personal injuries to herself and her minor children and for the wrongful death of her husband suffered in an automobile collision caused by the negligence of a District of Columbia resident. The accident occurred in Virginia at a time when the Stevens family was residing in that state.
