Presently pending in this civil action is a motion for summary judgment filed by defendant Transamerica Insurance Finance Corporation (“TIFCO”). Plaintiff, David A. McGovern, Jr. (“McGovern”), a former TIFCO employee, claims that he was discharged on May 7,1991, because he was 59 years of age, in violation of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (“ADEA”), 29 U.S.C. § 621 et seq.
