Lorenzo Garcia Mendoza appeals his conviction following jury trial of false imprisonment effected by violence, menace, fraud or deceit. (Pen. Code, §§ 236, 237.) He contends the introduction of police officers’ testimony concerning his own extrajudicial statements was error which denied him a fair trial. Appellant further argues: (1) the trial court erroneously gave CALJIC Nos. 2.71 and 2.72 (relating to admissions by the defendant); and (2) it was error to give CALJIC Nos. 2.60 and 2.61 (concerning the defendant’s right not to testify), even absent a defense objection.
