The grant of the State’s petition for writ of certiorari and Ronald Sanders’s (“the respondent”) cross-petition requires us once again to interpret Maryland Rule 4-243, pertaining to plea agreements. 1 The State’s petition urges reversal of the judgment of the Court of Special Appeals. In an unreported opinion, that court reversed the denial, by the Circuit Court for Prince George’s County, of the respondent’s motion to withdraw his guilty plea and ordered that the respondent be sentenced in accordance with the plea agreement pursuant to which the plea was entered.
