This case comes to us on remand from our Supreme Court. New Milford Savings Bank v. Jajer, 244 Conn. 251, 708 A.2d 1378 (1998). The defendants Maurice J. Jajer and Maria Jajer (defendants) previously appealed to this court from the trial court’s granting of the plaintiffs motion to open the 1994judgment of strict foreclosure, from the judgment of strict foreclosure dated May 15, 1995, and from the denial of their motion to open the 1995judgment.
